SDEA and NICA Dialogue - Changes to Agreements: How Late Is Too Late?
SDEA is collaborating with the National Instructors and Coaches Association (NICA) to facilitate a dialogue on ideal and fair practices regarding the period of notice for changes to teaching contracts of freelance arts educators and teaching artists.
The dialogue aims to:
- Understand the extent and impact of short/late notices for changes, terminations, or cancellations of agreements faced by freelance arts educators and teaching artists
- Discuss ideal practices freelance arts educators and teaching artists would like to implement regarding such notices that is fair for both parties
- Kickstart the process towards possible solutions and fairer practices
This will take place on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, at 7:30pm at the Goodman Arts Centre.
