[nggallery id=31] On 24 February 2016, SDEA was proud to host actor/director master of Commedia dell’Arte from Italy Marco Luly and Singapore’s International award-winning storyteller Roger Jenkins in celebration of Commedia dell’Arte Day 2016. Together, Marco and Roger presented a demonstration about the main features of the theatre form through a series of improvisation and skits, introducing the most important stock characters of Commedia dell’Arte such as Pantalone, Arlecchino, Zanni, Pulcinella to much laughter from the packed audience.

Registration is closed. SDEA is proud to have Marco Luly and Roger Jenkins present the demo/talk in celebration of Commedia dell’Arte Day 2016. Marco and Roger will present a demo/talk about the main features of the theatre form through a series of improvisation and skits, introducing the most important stock characters of Commedia dell’Arte such as Pantalone, Arlecchino, Zanni, Pulcinella along the way. Also, learn how the medieval theatre form was adapted into a vital modern style - a pertinent concern of cultural theatre practitioners looking to build strong connections with contemporary audiences.
